Riders Against Congestion fights to educate and mobilize NYC area motorcyclists around issues of fair tolling and dedicated motorcycle-only parking within all five-boroughs. If not exempt, our fuel efficient, congestion reducing vehicles should be incentivized as part of the solution for urban planning and traffic congestion in all of New York City.
Cheryl Stewart founded Riders Against Congestion in response to the lack of consideration for the unique role of motorcycles and legally registered motor scooters can play in Manhattan’s Central Business District Tolling Program for all residents of the surrounding region. Cheryl is also the Co-Founder and past President of the New York Motorcycle and Scooter Task Force, a former track-day rider coach with the Fishtail riding school, and a Founding Member of the Sirens Women’s MC, NYC. She currently serves on the Motorcycle Advisory Council to NYC DOT advocating for NYC transportation policies which will foster a safer environment for NYC motorcyclists.
